The Keswick Exchange is really a people story, although those involved prefer a low profCommunity Newspaper? Who Needs It!YEARS OF THE EXCHANGE:MEMORIES OF THE RIVER BY PERLEY EMBLETONIt was legal to have a net "set" in the river above tide water when I was young. I'm not certain if a license was needed, or "the right to fish" was granted some families and passed down through generations. At any rate a row of wooden stakes, extending out from shore perhaps 50 ft. with the net unseen below the water line, was evidence of a fisherman trying his luckPre-school and Kindergarten in our CommunityThese are exciting times for early childhood education in New Brunswick. This fall 300 kindergarten teachers and several thousand fiveyear olds will become part of our public school program. Consequences, both good and bad, of such a massive reorganization will be felt for years to come. This is the fiSchool Board Chattersroom for Keswick Ridge School has been approved by the Dept. of Education. Registration numbers as of Apr. 16th were 19 for kindergarten and 21 for grade 1. Because of the need to finalize decisions on the number of classes for the District, which affects staffing, site location, bussing, etc., May 1st has been set as a cut-off date.
